[Program Note]
The music includes 12 pieces with different themes. Every piece is developed in same manner which gradually adds changes while maintaining the figures presented in the beginning.
Techniques for performance are mainly based on the traditional ones for the instrument. New techniques, however, is adopted for emphasizing certain characters. There are various styles which require different techniques according to the characteristic of each work; for example some piece depicts fast and cheerful movement by using two mallets. Meanwhile other piece demands six mallets for rich harmonic resonance.
Although it is a collection of 12 individual pieces, because of its oneness one big flow can be detected if you listen from no. 1 to no. 12 in order.
